Encourage and equip persons pursuing God’s call upon their lives to serve Him through a Christian ministry.
Deadline
The application for the Bobby Wilson Christian Ministry Scholarship is to be submitted by April 16th of each year for review and consideration to be a recipient of the award.
Purpose
The purpose and intent of this award is to encourage and equip persons pursuing God’s call upon their lives to serve Him through a Christian ministry.
Requirements:
*faithful member of Saluda Baptist Association member church

C. Church Membership: All applicants must be deemed a faithful member of a Saluda Baptist Association church for at least one year.

1. A written endorsement by the following individuals should be mailed directly to the Saluda Associational office. The endorsement letter should give details of the applicant’s faithfulness and involvement in their church and mission work. Requires three (3) completed recommendations.
1. Pastor of the Applicant’s Church
2. Youth Director/Minister of Youth or Sunday School Teacher of the Applicant’s Church
3. Non-related Church Member
**Each person submitting a recommendation must mail the letter directly to the
Saluda Baptist Association Office PO Box 13005, Anderson, SC 29624
2. Sealed transcript mailed directly from the school that includes your GPA, and SAT/ACT score.
3. Students may apply for this award in successive years but must repeat the entire process each time.
4. Each applicant will have a personal interview with the Saluda Baptist Administrative Team.
5. The amount of the scholarship shall be $1,000.00, but the number of scholarships awarded each year will be dependent upon the amount of funds received.

IN ORDER FOR THE APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED, ALL OF THE LISTED REQUIREMENTS MUST BE COMPLETE. MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE DEADLINE.
All applicants will be notified in writing of the award decision following the May Executive Team Meeting.

1. The applicant must attend one of the following eligible universities, seminaries or divinity schools:
- Anderson University
- North Greenville University
- Charleston Southern University
- Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
- Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
- Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
- New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
- Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
- Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
2. All written information pertaining to this scholarship must be received at the Associational office by April 16th of each year. No late applications will be received. Interviews will be held thereafter and awards made at the Executive Team meeting in May.
This award is made possible through the generous giving of people of the Saluda Baptist Association and other designated gifts. No gifts received designated for scholarship shall be used for any other purpose in the associational ministry.
