WMU Yearly Projects
Prisoner Packets:
Packets or Monetary Donations DUE to SBA by FIRST THURSDAY OF NOVEMBER.
1 BLACK stick pen (no retractable, no wire clips, no other colors)
1 writing tablet, 5 1/2” by 8” (no wire bound or composition books)
3 First Class #10 STAMP EMBOSSED Envelopes (no regular stamps)
1 ADULT Toothbrush (factory sealed, no multipacks)
1 4 oz. – 6 oz. Toothpaste (no travel size)
1 3.2 oz. – 6 oz. Bar of Soap (no travel size, no unwrapped or unboxed bars)
2 ROLLS OF HARD CANDY like LifeSavers/Breath Savers/Mentos (no Smarties, Sweettarts, Necco Wafers, Rolos, Starbursts, Tic Tacs)
1 GALLON size zipper bag (All items must fit in the gallon zipper bag with zipper closed securely.)
If you prefer not to purchase items, monetary donations will be accepted.
AIM Summer Food 4 Kids:
Food or Monetary Donations DUE to SBA by LAST THURSDAY OF MAY.
Breakfast, snack, lunch, and drink items examples: Granola Bars/Raisins/Dried Fruit Boxes, Packages of Instant Oatmeal or Instant Grits, Fruit Cups in Light Syrup, Mini Beef Ravioli or Beef-a-Roni (pop top can), Applesauce Cups, 100% Juice in box/Pouches/Capri-Suns, Low fat Pop tarts, Sugar-Free Pudding Cups
*** No nuts or nut butter please, as we will not include these in the children’s food bags.

Backpacks for schools, KY missions or PA partnership: Backpacks DUE to SBA by THIRD THURSDAY OF OCTOBER.
Items to include:
3 WINTER ACCESSORIES- such as hats, scarves, gloves, warm socks
3 SMALL POP TOP CANS OF FOOD- such as Vienna sausages, SpaghettiOs, ravioli, fruit
3 OTHER SMALL FOOD ITEMS- such as wrapped hard candy like Jolly Ranchers and Blow-Pops, jerky, fruit snacks, breakfast bars, gum --No peanut products, please!
AN AGE-APPROPRIATE BIBLE OR BIBLE STORY BOOK
Also include for younger children:
HYGIENE ITEMS- Place the following items in a Ziploc bag: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap or body wash, shampoo, brush or comb, washcloth.
3 FUN ITEMS- such as fleece blankets, stuffed animals, doll, hair accessories, cars, crayons and coloring books, craft sets, puzzles, flash cards, card games like Old Maid or Go Fish
For older children:
HYGIENE ITEMS-Place the following item in a Ziploc bag: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap or body wash, shampoo, brush or comb, wash cloth, deodorant.
3 FUN ITEMS- such as make-up, jewelry, fleece blankets, balls, thermos, flashlights, craft sets, drawing items, markers, colored pencils, adult coloring books, Sudoku, Word Finds, hunting magazines, card games like UNO

Monetary Donations
Spring Meeting—Receive offering for the Irene Raffini Mission Scholarship, IN MARCH OF EACH YEAR.
Fall Meeting—Receive money for the SBA WMU Community Outreach/Missions Grant IN AUGUST OF EACH YEAR.
Any time during the year you can give toward the various projects if you desire, make checks payable to SBA and mark designated to the project you wish to support.
Seafarers Caps
Due to Saluda Baptist by SECOND THURSDAY OF OCTOBER
For many sailors, these caps knitted with love and care by so many Southern Baptists may be the only Christmas present they receive this year. You can be a part of this ministry which demonstrates the love of Jesus to many, see more information available on the SBA website WMU Page http://www.saludabaptist.net/mission-opportunities.html. Caps may be completed all through the year and turned in by the second Thursday in October.
